"Coach" Marc D. Fulcher entered into rest January 19,
2010 in Manteca, CA. He was born on April 12, 1949 in Oakland, CA. He joins his
parents in heaven, E.A. Fulcher and Iva R. Tullis, as well as one brother, Edgar
A. Fulcher, Jr.
Marc leaves behind his loving wife, Wendy Fulcher and
three daughters; Shavocki Fulcher of Stockton, Regina Fulcher of Manteca, and
Tamra Bedford of Frisco, TX. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Tamaj Davis,
Tayzhon Davis, Aliyah Woodall, Alijah Woodall and Jordan Bedford. Marc also
leaves his brother, Raoul Fulcher of Oakland; two sister-in-laws, Calleen
Fulcher and Dorothy Fulcher, both of Oakland; his closest friend, Reginald
"Rick" Jackson of Dublin; and a
host of nieces, nephews and a basketball family who loved him dearly.
Marc was a native of North Oakland before making
Manteca his home in 1988. He took Wendy as his best friend and companion for
life on July 10, 1988. Marc was a loving husband, father, brother, son, grandfather,
uncle, friend, coach, and mentor to many. He has aspirations of playing
basketball himself but when an ankle injury prevented that, he turned to
coaching. Marc and Wendy founded the Delta Jammers in 1994 and the basketball
family that evolved from that is worldwide. Marc's success and inspiration was a
blessing to everyone he touched.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in his
